So a little upadate to keep you filled in with the latest. So far, so
good! The weathe has been great and the food lush. We've been on the
ministry quite a few times. The people over here are really receptive
and very happy to chat. We have had some good calls. The cong in Loja
has been really friendly. There are some great characters in it with
bubbly personalitites. At the beginning of the meeting before it starts
everyone walks around and shakes peoples hands hello. Not like us
reserved Brits!! We live right next to an amazing park. It is called Jipiro. We have put some pictures on the site. It is a huge park which has been done up. It has loads of trees and loads of football, tennis, and basketball courts. Every weekend it is packed with people and families. They have a childs area, where you can hire boats and paddle around the river surrounding the park. Also in the childs area are Emus and a funky goat park. They have big slides and cool towers. The train in the picture is our local internet place. It is cheap as chips and really cool. We walked over to it thinking it would be an antique train to look at, but inside has cool little internet cafe. We also went riding in Jipiro. Luke and I decided to have a quick go on the horses. Luke picked a real crazy looking horse which was really skitty. He jumped on. I picked a nice looking brown horse. We set off around the park, it goes all through trees and along the river. Luke kept holding his back for ages and then riding it cowboy style to catch us up. You ride with no helmet, string for reigns and the most bizzare and knackered saddle ever. There was a horse must of been about 13 or at a push 14 hands. This girl (about my size) climbed on and then her boyfriend (quite a tall chap) climbed up behind. I swear the horses skinny little back was close to breaking. But it only cost 25p which was great!!! You, who are coming to visit can also enjoy the crazy life mentioned above for a mere 25p!! We have an American couple moving in with us on the 14th April. We are looking forward to it. Will be someone else to talk English with! Plus as mentioned before the appartment is so big we wont notice more people being here!! Will keep you posted on how it goes. The congregation has about 65 publishers. They have double the amount attend most meetings, which are all studies. They are going to have 2 memorials. One at 6:45 and one at 8, cos the amount of people they have coming would never fit into the hall. We have started 1 study and been given quite a few. And I am having spanish lessons (is really needed!!) Anyway that just about finshes my epistle, will get luke off my back about writing a seesion, hope i havent bored you too much. Till next time, Adieu. |
