Well here comes another update. We havent got a huge amount to report on but I thought if I dont put news up here people will stop looking at the site!

We had our memorial in two sessions because we wouldnt all fit in the kingdom hall. The brothers had to go to both as there are not enough to go around. The day before we had a good clean up at the kingdom hall, which included painting our floor a disgusting mint green colour. It really clashes with the floral material on the walls. We are looking for land to build a new hall as ours is falling down and the regional building committee have told us to find a bigger plot as they want to put a car park with the hall this time. Anyway we cleared it up for the memorial and went to the first sitting of the memorial.

It was due to start at 6:45 and at 6:40 the hall was still mostly empty. The talk began and people trickled in. To that sitting we had about 160. The second session came after and in total we had 318 people come. Not bad for a congregation with only 60 publishers.

We are in a fairly good routine at the moment with ministry etc.. I have been working lots with the brother who is leaving in a couple of weeks to rob all his studies etc.. I think I will be having about 4 from him. It has meant that neither of us have done much first call as the publishers all have a lot of studies. So that's a little weird and hopefully soon we can do some more first call together.

We are going to go away for the weekend this weekend to a local village called Vilcabamba famous for its longevity. Our meeting is Saturday so it means we can get away on Sunday and stay over in some cabins somewhere with a swimming pool and squeeze in some horse riding on Monday. Should be nice as we havent seen much about the place yet. I know its a tough pioneer life!

An American couple are moving in with us mid April. We dont know them but they seem nice from the emails we have had and this place is too big for the two of us. We are both (them and us) kind of nervous about it (they are probably reading this as well) but I think it will be really good.

Anyway I'm going to keep it brief so that you dont get bored.

Lucas
